month of discoveries, find #7: mars hill church iphone app

A few years ago, my husband (fiance at the time), introduced me to the sermons of Pastor Mark Driscoll and his church in Seattle, Mars Hill.  It's a booming church and growing exponentially in one of the most un-churched cities of the nation.  I really like Pastor Mark because he's so straight to the point, down to earth, confrontational, sensitive to the Spirit and has the right focus: Jesus.  Church isn't about being a good person, church is about Jesus.  Life is about Jesus. Studying what Jesus said and taught and doing it in our lives today should be our goal.  Yes, Jesus is still applicable to our lives today.

Today's find is the Mars Hill Church iPhone app.

It's a fantastic way to stay in the Word on the go.   You can listen to or watch sermons ... plus there's music, the Mars Hill Church blog and more.  Plus, it's free!  I download a few sermons at a time and usually will listen to them while taking walks with Seth in the mornings, in the car or even just around the house.

I can't stress enough how important it is to stay in the Word.  Be teachable.  Be transformable.
